Bespoke Unit Cigars Home https://bespokeunit.com/cigars Adorini Genova Deluxe Humidor Unboxing & Review: Full Kit-out Luxury The Genova Deluxe is a wooden desktop humidor in the luxury section, at about $500 USD. Adorini not only specify a 150-count capacity but also state the vitola, which is nice. In this case, it's 150 Monte Cristo #4 cigars. This humidor has a beautifully finished exterior with parquetry inlay on the lid. Big thumbs up on the initial sniff test when opening up this one! When opening this humidor, apparent are the extremely thick walls. We previously reviewed the Diamond Crown St. James Series Alexander. That humidor was impressive, but the Genova Deluxe is simply a cut above. Inside the Genova Deluxe is Adorini's proprietary tray with horizontal slots and a large gap in the middle in order to maximize ventilation. Of course, this reduces the amount of cigars you can store. There are also ribbed channels carved into the bottom of the humidor. These allow air and humidity to more easily flow below the bottommost cigars. However, this all increases the surface area, therefore, the time required for seasoning is longer. The smell of the Spanish cedar is readily apparent when sniffing the inside. Again, compared to the Diamond Crown, which smelled primarily of glue, the Genova Deluxe comes out on top. Other, optional elements come with the humidor, and the manual lists and details these. For example, there are dividers with sticky labels for separating cigar types and for changing the tray's height. Besides these, you get a set of two keys of a rather basic flat-ridge type for the humidor's lock. Some humidifications items also come with the Genova Deluxe. Firstly, a black case to be used with included humidification gel beads, which magnetically sticks inside the lid. If you've watched our other cigar content, you know we vastly prefer Boveda's salt system over this gel-based humidity delivery. See our links above for our reviews and guides on Boveda products. Also included is an analog hygrometer, but again, we don't find these very useful. Rather, we recommend precisely calibrateable digital devices like the Boveda Butler, Cigsor, or SensorPush. Again, see the links section at top for our video on the topic. Finally, there's a bottle of distilled water with silver ions for charging the humidity gel. Overall, this is an attractive wooden humidor with the unmistakable smell of Spanish cedar. When considering wooden humidors, this is important, since wood humidors are display pieces first. Further, the kit out hardware for customizing the interior is perhaps the best we've seen. REMEMBER to comment!
