The Visit of the Minister of Human Rights of Indonesia to Laos

The Embassy of Indonesia in Vientiane was honored to welcome the visit of the Minister of Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia to Laos on 27–28 November 2025. During the visit, the Minister met with the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the promotion and protection of human rights. The Minister conveyed Indonesia’s aspiration for the Presidency of the UN Human Rights Council and sought Laos’ valuable support for this candidacy. He also highlighted Indonesia’s initiative to convene a High-Level Meeting on Human Rights in the Asia–Pacific region, aimed at fostering constructive dialogue and advancing shared commitments.
