Spending one day at the FRANCONIAN WINE REGION. (Germany) A light feeling of the Toscana and Bavaria

Welcome to a new video. After a while and especially in the European autumn time I thought a trip to the known Franconian wine region at the district of the river Main, and the town Wurzburg at lower Franconia. Enjoy the video at one of Germanys most famous regions. The trip at the Franconian Wine region: I went by car at a sunny day at the autumn time to the small town called Iphofen. This town is more as unknown but has a lot of places and restaurants where you can taste the famous wine which will produce in traditional counties and farms at the countryside and in the town. I went step by step to the different places and came to the historic gate of the city wall, to the marking place. The best was the winery next to the city church. I had the opportunity to visit the basement which was a kind of stock for the produced wine. Later I visited the city church. Iphofen was maybe small but has a big square meter areas behind the town where the farmers breed their wine. I spent one hour in the wine hills for relaxing and to enjoy the view to the landscape. My last stop was the castle called Frankenblick. This castle is used as a hotel for a restaurant. Also, here you can drink the Franconian wine completed with a food of the landscape. I was a trip to a castle, a region and town which is more unknown by tourists from all over the world. About the town Iphofen: Iphofen is a small town loceated at the district of the bigger town Kitzingen and Wurzburg at the Bavarian district Franconia. The town is a part of the region in Bavaria of the famous Franconian wine. In the small historic city center it happened two churches, a marking place and over this a lot of wineries where the owners mix their wines and self the different kind of wine in bottles called Boxbeutel to the tourists and everyone which would like to have a Franconian wine. In the restaurants you can enjoy the wine together with a food. Iphofen gives also a light feeling to other small towns in the region like Feuchtwanger, Rothenburg and Dinkelsbühl. About the Franconian wine and the wine region: The Franconian wine produced in the region between the towns Wurzburg, Kitzingen and the river Main at the north part of the federal state Bavaria in Germany one of the most famous kinds of wine at the entire country. The history of the wine begun in the year around 1200 in the middle age. Today it happened a lot of farmers and landowners in the region which produce the wine in own wineries for generations. On the countryside the wine berries are growing at large square meter areas mostly at a hill or behind the towns. The bottle of the Franconian wine is special look like and is called “Bocksbeutel”. A interesting experience is to taste a wine completed with a Franconian food. The Frankenberg/blick castle: The first historical documentary from Frankenberg castle came from the year 1254. It was in the walk of the history in the own of more noble families like the Hohenlohe, Hessberg and Absberg. In the year 1522 Frankenberg castle came in the own of the lord of Hutten. After the dead of the last person of Hutter the castle became part of the own of the Margrave of Ansbach. From 1971 the Baron of Lerchenfeld bought Frankenblick but he was not really in form to give a lot of money for renovation as well. 2014 the Prof. Dr. Dr. and Löw start a big project with renovation for a new future of Frankenberg castle.
