WARNING - BLADE SHARPENING IS DANGEROUS! Sorry for the crude video. I just shot this tutorial in one take for my FB leather craft groups and decided to upload it until I can produce a better-looking one. This is a summary of how I do it, and is definitely not the only way or the best way. It's the way that works for me. This is my way of thanking the YouTube leathercraft community from whom I have learned so much from, with the hopes that this can help impart knowledge to someone in need of it. Remember friends: Just because you don't have the best tools, doesn't mean you cannot bring out the best that you can do. 🥃 Friends, one crucial point i forgot to mention is that if you do not have sharpening stones, you can use sandpaper mounted on a flat surface like stone or glass or tile or plywood. Just remember that with sandpaper your sharpening strokes must only be in one direction -- pulling back like you would a leather strop -- as not to cut into the sandpaper. You might need a lot of sandpaper though, so getting a good set of sharpening stones is something I consider as an investment in our craft. Be careful and watch your fingers, friends. Be safe.
