Kep Beach During One Of The Busiest Cambodian Holidays

We are in Kep, Cambodia one of the most popular beach towns in the country, and we're there during one of the busiest holidays in Cambodia - Pchum Ben. During this time of year Cambodians love to travel, and Kep was packed with local tourists. We got a first hand look at how the Cambodians like to spend their beach holidays. Despite there being covid-19 restrictions, people came to the beach with their family to eat, drink, and have a great time. It was lively and fun. Cambodians definitely know how to have a good time. We saw a bit of the local sights, including Kep National Park. We also went to the crab market, which is what Kep is most known for. There is so much delicious seafood in Kep, and the crab market is a super exciting way to try it. We sat down at an ocean-side crab shack and had some crab fried rice along with some grilled squid. There were also beers involved. Lots of beers. But we could always use more.
