In this video I am riding the Al Quadra cycle path with my rented Trek Road bike. For me, riding this track was a totally new experience without having ever ridden a bicycle in Dubai or the UAE before. So basically you get my unbiased tourist view of this experience ;-). As I found not so many details available online around this cycle path I have tried to add as much information as possible within my video and in the details below. The bike was rented at the Trek store in Al Quadra, cost was AED 195 / 47€ / 53 USD or 40 GBP for a 4 hour period. I brought my own bike clothing, helmet, clip pedals and shoes. Installing/removing my pedals was free of charge at the rental workshop. Flat/normal pedals are fitted to all bikes and rental helmets are complementary with every rental. If you don't bring padded bike pants, you can rent a gel seat cover at the trek shop, which given that the bike seats are not very comfortable is probably advisable. The communication via E-Mail in advance with the Trek rental shop was for me, unfortunately none existing. I reserved my bike online one week in advance and send two mails with questions to the Trek rental store mail and unfortunately never got any reply. If I would rent a bike in Dubai again, I'd recommend Wolfie's bike shop: wbs.ae. They have been very good with their communication and overall advise. I only went with Trek for the rental bike as I had no rental car to get the bike (if I'd hired at Wolfie's) out to the Al Quadra track. Any additional information please share. Happy to answer any additional questions if any.
