Some are green and sour to eat. Others are red and sometimes sweet! Our apples have many different parts. Let’s take a look on the outside to start. The outside of an apple is called the skin. Some people peel it before they begin. At the top of an apple is a leaf and a stem, but when we buy them, there’s no leaf on them. Inside the apple we are in for a treat! It’s called the flesh - the part that we eat. In the middle there is the core. But inside that there’s even more! There are some seeds in the core, to plant in the ground and grow some more! Pick up an apple and take a bite to see if we got all the apple parts right!
