One of the coolest April Fool's things I've seen online was YouTube's TEXTp 'quality' mode back in 2010. Instead of 360p or 1080p, it'd output the video entirely in colored text. The video was still roughly the same if in lower quality due to the size of the text, but it was made out of letters and numbers and symbols and so on. So, when I saw this game promoted (wherever it was, sorry), I immediately thought of that. Effulgence RPG is a turn-based RPG involving a mysterious signal, strangely polite hostiles, and using the materials from defeated enemies to make new weapons and items. I got into the playtest after seeing it promoted, so I gave it a spin.
