LA갈비와 국수 | LA Galbi and noodles 요즘 물가가 올라 고기 가격이 사악한 와중에 마트에 short rib이 할인해서 엄마가 몇 팩 사서 LA 갈비를 만들었다. 처음엔 안 먹다가 한 번 먹어보니 먹을만한지 잘 먹었다. 국수도 같이 먹었다. With prices soaring these days, especially for meat, Mom bought a few packs of short ribs that were on sale at the market and made LA galbi. According to a search, this dish originated in the 1970s when Korean immigrants in Los Angeles wanted to enjoy the familiar taste of Korean-style grilled beef ribs. Since American butchers didn’t offer the traditional Korean “whole cut” ribs, they used the locally available short ribs, which are sliced thin across the bone (cross-cut). Using these thinner cuts, they created a marinated grilled dish that became known as LA galbi. At first, Toby didn’t eat it, but after trying a bite, he found it pretty good and ended up enjoying it.
