Back to the Truck Series and headed to North Wilkesboro, and for a while it looked like we were in for another strong run. We showed great speed early, putting down a Top 10 lap in practice, but a few mistakes in qualifying left us starting mid-pack. After a caution about a third of the way into the race, we made a key adjustment on pit road—four fresh tires and a half round of wedge to help tighten the truck up. The changes worked, and we steadily climbed back through the field, fighting our way up to 17th coming to the white flag… until disaster struck. Late contact with another driver brought out a caution that ended the race under yellow, leaving us wondering what might have been.
