Slane Irish whiskey is a neat little offering which arrived on the market a couple of years ago. It's in the same price range as whiskeys like Jameson or Bushmills, but tries to set itself apart from the standard "bourbon and sherry" combination by making use of a third cask style for maturation: virgin oak. This adds some extra spice and sweetness, but is it enough to make Slane Irish Whiskey a good whiskey?
