This episode breaks down one of the core laws from my upcoming book Laws of Life 2. Do not fight fair does not mean fight dirty. It means understand what conflict actually is and stop playing by rules the other side never agreed to. All conflict is a fight. Physical, legal, professional, or personal. The first rule is non aggression. If you were not aggressed upon, you are wrong. From there the goal is never excess force. It is sufficient force, applied with control and intention, whether the conflict is a violent encounter, a workplace power play, or a family argument. Most people fail in conflict because they stay stuck in a reactive sympathetic state. Fight, flight, or freeze. The real advantage comes from shifting to parasympathetic control. Pause, assess, choose terrain, and respond deliberately. That is how you deescalate when possible, dominate when necessary, and avoid scorched earth outcomes that damage relationships, careers, and long term goals. Winning is not about emotion. Winning is about outcomes. We walk through real world examples from parking lots to board rooms and introduce the FIST Formula. Frame the fight, interrupt the pattern, strike only as hard as necessary, then take the win and move on. Every conflict is a negotiation.
