🎹 Lesson 16 of my piano journey! This week’s focus: More about eighth note syncopation. Using Am chord I play some “push” ideas that demonstrate how to push the chord rhythm over a steady pulse in the left hand. Then, another example is shown using slash chords and a busier left hand bass pattern. Last, pedal tones are introduced along with the use of the Charleston Rhythm to create another type of push in the the rhythm. Reminds me a bit of Under Pressure. I’m teaching myself piano using Complete Learn to Play Keyboard Manual, completing one lesson per week on my Casio keyboard. My goal: finish every single lesson in this book and share the journey as I go. #learnpiano #casiokeyboard #dailypiano #pianolessons
