Videos Taken 15.07.2023 Canyoning in Strubklamm (Hallein, Salzburg) V1 A3 III 📌 Entry: 47.77519 N, 13.20993 E Exit: 47.7673 N, 13.1840 E 💦 Characteristics: Jumpy, deep cut and wet. Strubklamm flows into the lake above the dam above the Almbachklamm in Salzburg. Because of this, it has a reliably constant water level, provided the dam is not overloaded (only in extreme weather conditions). Very deep-cut canyon with intermittent emergency exits in the open areas. Long swim passages. 🚗 To the Canyon: Recommended 2 cars, possible without, but it's minimum 1h30 hike, or a 10 min drive (also sometimes available taxi service via Hotel Obermayr). Parking available within 200m of entry and exit. From the Entry parking, you go over the bridge (dam) and follow the path to the right (ort. left) down to the gorge. 🏔 The Canyon: After the hike down from the path, a ladder finishes off the decent to the beginning. Before you get to the deep-cut sections, there are many small jumps as well as a bit of climbing. After the fixed rope on the right hand side leading up (emergency exit), you enter into the deeper section with higher jumps, one sketchy slide, and long swim passages (200m and 300m long) pack warm... Reccomended minimum 5mm wetsuit, gloves if available. In theory possible with a good drysuit. 🔚 Back out: After the waterfall, you come to a beach (left) and over the bridge (ort. right) is a path leading to the exit parking. ✔️ Pros: "Possible" without a rope. (Always take a rope) Lots of jumps of all heights from 1 to 10 metres (above the 10m is also a 15m). Deep canyon with caves, very beautiful. No Hiking necessary ❌ Cons: Very cold, no sun, often in water for long periods. Pack warm! 7mm if not drysuit. Once you're in... you're in!
