Darksiders 3: Lore - The Charred Council [SPOILER WARNING]

An interest has been expressed for my take on the story of the Darksiders franchise. As both a fantasy writer and an English teacher, as well as a gamer, I've often focused on story over gameplay, and one of the reasons I enjoy this series of games and the media around it is how it draws from mythological elements I enjoy and have used in stories of my own. This, then, is my current take on Darksiders as a series, and it is tied very much into the Charred Council and the plethora of questions we have surrounding them, their machinations, and their motivations. I am under no illusion that the entirety of the Darksiders storyline was planned out in advance; there are no doubt some inconsistencies that will crop up as different writers try and fill in gaps without treading on each others' toes -- but with this in mind, I think the major threads hold up pretty well. (And the others can, in many cases, be explained away by the concept of unreliable narrators...) I reserve the right to revisit this video in the future to change bits, should I think of anything else pertinent -- or if I've forgotten something major that just means I'm totally wrong!
