💰 The Owen’s Condition for Tuition scholarship challenge has been an ongoing program at CSULB's ASI Student Recreation & Wellness Center since fall 2011 by Joshua and Tessa Owen and their family. The intent for the program is to encourage Long Beach State students to commit to living a healthy lifestyle and attaining their fitness and wellness goals. ⁠ 👤 Tragically, Joshua Owen passed away in his sleep at the age of 43 in the summer of 2015. CSULB, ASI and the entire Long Beach community were shocked to hear of Josh’s sudden death. He was a dedicated community member, long-time Rotarian, had a huge heart and simply was a great human being. 🙌 In honor of Josh’s legacy, the Owen family has kept the program running strong and continue to see thousands of students impacted by their efforts.
