Irish author John Connolly visits the Sedlec Ossuary in Kutná Hora, Bohemia, in the Czech Republic, with BBC producer Lawrence Jackson, who directed and filmed this. Kutná Hora, its churches and its ossuary (repository of bones) are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Sedlec Ossuary is a small chapel beneath the Cemetery Church of All Saints, designed and constructed over a period of almost 500 years. The ornamental bone structures are the work of František Rint, who was commissioned by the Schwarzenberg family, who owned the chapel, to put the bones in order. The chapel of bones at Sedlec plays a central role in John Connolly's novel THE BLACK ANGEL (2005), the fifth to feature his detective, Charlie Parker.
