The weekend before, I overeagerly (despite a bad cold) went to the Lower Saxony State Championships, which immediately backfired. I should have stayed in bed to recover so I'd be fully ready for the first league match against Berliner Füchse. Thus, I let the cold linger a little and couldn't prepare with training, but I was still glad to be able to compete. In my first match, I had to play against my training partner Lennart Wehking, who was in brilliant form. However, given the current situation, I was still in very good shape, but unfortunately, I couldn't win either of the first two crucial sets in extra points, which I deserved and which could have influenced the outcome of the match. In the second match, I also had to admit defeat to Sebastian Borchert. All in all, however, it was a high-quality match with some very good rallies. Now we need to do a little more preparation for next weekend when we play against league leaders TTC 1957 Lampertheim , which will be good preparation for our important team matches against relegation.
