This is the first video of our new series of "Interviews with Buddhist Studies Students"! Stay tuned for more videos coming up. Jue Liang is a PhD candidate at the Department of Religious Studies, University of Virginia. In this interview, she talks about her dissertation "Conceiving the Mother of Tibet: The Life, Lives, and Afterlife of the Buddhist Saint Yeshe Tsogyel", as well as her academic life and career in general. Jue has received a BA in "Chinese Literature" and an MA in "History" from Renmin University of China, as well as an MA in "History of Religions" from the University of Chicago.
