April is Palliative Care Awareness Month, an initiative by @HospisMalaysia to highlight the challenges we may face if we or our loved one is diagnosed with a serious progressive illness such as cancer, organ failure or a degenerating neurological condition. An early referral to palliative care can help patients live as well as possible as they journey through their illness – supporting their physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs. Join us to advocate for palliative care to be fully integrated into our healthcare system, and be available to support patients in the community. Because everyone deserves the right to live well, free from treatable physical and psychological pain, and to live their final days with dignity.
