Making a Cranberry Cider in 4 days! Using a spunding valve can help carbonate your beverage as fermentation is going. Happy Thanksgiving to those of you that celebrate! Thanks again to Trent Musho at the @TheBruSho for this recipe! Recipe 2 parts Apple Juice to 1 part Cranberry Juice 1 half gallon 100% Cranberry Juice 2 half gallon 100% Apple Juice Orange 1 Cinnamon Stick 2 Star Anise Lallemand Kevik Voss - yeast Simmer Cranberry Juice, juice of orange, the orange peel, and spices for 15 minutes. Remove spices and orange peel. Cool mulled cranberry mixture as needed. Put mulled cranberry mixture in fermenter, add yeast nutrient (about 1 tsp), add yeast and shake. Let ferment under pressure (using spunding valve) in a warm place (80F +) for 3 or so days. Serve when ready. If don't have spunding valve, then either force carbonate in a keg, or bottle condition for 5-7 days.
