Welcome to Day 2 of my Ramadan vlogs in Kuala Lumpur! Today’s adventure is packed with excitement as we explore one of the best fake markets in Southeast Asia and visit a vibrant Ramadan bazaar to experience the true spirit of Ramadan in Malaysia. I started the day by setting myself a £100 shopping challenge at the famous Petaling Street Market, also known as Chinatown Kuala Lumpur. The market was beautifully decorated, resembling the streets of China, and had an incredible selection of fake designer bags, football jerseys, and watches. I was especially excited to grab some football shirts, and the first vendor I met was super funny—so I had to buy one from her, even though the quality was just average! As I moved through the market, I found countless sellers offering luxury replica bags from top brands. I finally bought one, but filming became a challenge as many sellers were strict about cameras. After finishing at Petaling Street, I made my way to Central Market, which had a completely different vibe—clean, modern, and full of modest Muslim clothing and local crafts. However, fasting in the heat of Kuala Lumpur was really starting to take a toll on me, and I was feeling dehydrated. After a short rest back at my luxury apartment near the Petronas Towers, we headed out for Iftar at Kampong Bharu Ramadan Bazaar, one of the most popular Ramadan food markets in Kuala Lumpur. The stalls were full of incredible street food, fresh fruit juices, and traditional Malaysian dishes. I grabbed a refreshing fruit juice and a flavorful rice and chicken dish, while my wife was on a mission to find authentic Nasi Lemak—Malaysia’s most famous dish. We originally planned to eat at KLCC Park, but by the time we arrived, it was too dark, and we had forgotten to bring cutlery! So, we headed back to our apartment, where we finally enjoyed our delicious Iftar meal. To end the day in the most relaxing way possible, we went up to the sky pool on the rooftop, taking in the breathtaking views of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline before calling it a night. This Ramadan vlog truly showed me two different sides of Kuala Lumpur—from the bustling fake markets of Chinatown to the beautiful Ramadan traditions at Kampong Bharu.
