"Indies Power 2001 Omnibus", 2000. Furan Steiner (腐乱シュタイナー) formed in 1997. In December of 1998, the group made their debut on the "99 Satsugai Grand Champion Carnival (99殺害グランドチャンピオンカーニバル)" omnibus, and later appeared on the "Giant Baba Tribute [Aka Pan] (ジャイアント馬場トリビュート『赤パン』)" omnibus in April of 1999. In June of 2000, Furan Steiner appeared on the "Satsugai Cover Omnibus - Oukuma Kojika Baba Tsuruta 2 (殺害カバーオムニバス・大熊小鹿馬場鶴田2)" omnibus and also appeared on the "Indies Power 2001" omnibus that December. Although Furan Steiner had not released any original materail of their own, by 2001, the group had managed to develop a cult following for their heavy sound and quirky sense of humor. Furan Steiner would not release any material or appear on any omnibuses for the next few years, however, instead focusing on touring only. In February of 2003, Furan Steiner returned by appearing on the "Covers!" omnibus, infamously doing a cover of the track "Chokotto Love (ちょこっとLove)", originally done by Morning Musume (モーニング娘) offshoot Petitmoni (プッチモニ) that sold over a million copies. This version of "Chokotto Love" would become one of the most popular tracks in Furan Steiner's catalog, if not the most popular. By the end of 2003, the group would start to apply more aesthetics to their image, with the only original member of Furan Steiner left being frontman and bassist Thunder (サンダー). The group would also begin to tour with visual groups more regularly beginning in 2003, making Furan Steiner an undoubtable oddball in the scene. In December of 2003, the group appeared on the "Oukuma Kojika Baba Tsureta Killer Kan (大熊小鹿馬場鶴田キラー完。)" omnibus although despite the notoriety the Petitmoni cover gave the group, Furan Steiner would once again not appear on any omnibuses or even release any of their own material despite being active for nearly a decade at this pointinstead focusing on touring. Beginning in 2005, however, the group would start to decrease activities even more so, with Furan Steiner only touring a bit for the next few years. In 2007, Furan Steiner would start to tour a bit more regularly, but would ultimately never record new material either for omnibuses or otherwise as the group would end up folding in 2010, making Furan Steiner one of the rare groups to have never released any original material of their own with their only tracks being featured on omnibuses. Thunder and the final drummer of Furan Steiner, Tashiro (田代), both went on to form the indies group Hernia_44, with Tashiro also remaining active in the metal supergroup Prophesia and his other group Dazzle, which he was active in since 2000. In 2020, however, Thunder would end up being hospitalized for a cerebral infection, and Hernia_44 would then understandably end up going on a hiatus. Hernia_44 have not yet returned and it is unknown as to Thunder's current condition, 6 years later. In 2018, Prophesia would go on a hiatus as well, and Tashiro remained active as a member of Dazzle under the alias of Takayuki, before Dazzle ended up going on a sudden hiatus as well in late 2023. Dazzle has not yet returned from its sudden unannounced hiatus and he then became a support musician for the visual metal group Aresz, which he still seems to be active as today. The final bassist of Furan Steiner, Chochirow (千代知郎), went on to join the underground group The Beers (ザ・ビールス), as well as the groups Bonkura (ボンクラ) and Yaregasa (破れ傘). While she eventually left The Beers in 2015, Chochirow remained active in both Bonkura and Yaregasa, as well as joined the legendary punk group The Continental Kids, which reunited for the first time in 25 years as Thee Continental Kids, as well as joined the group Chocolate Sludge (チョコレートスラッジ), being her first visual group since Furan Steiner split in 2010, and also joined the legendary visual metal group Distoma, which would reunite for the first time in 27 years. By 2020, Chochirow was one of the most prolific musicians in the underground music scene although that would be the year that Distoma would fold again, with Bonkura and Thee Continental Kids also dissolving in 2021, with the latter occuring due to the passing of frontman Akira. In 2024, Distoma would again return, although Chochirow did not return, and she still remains somewhat active in Chocolate Sludge and Yaregasa today.
