Having flown out off my left side of vision due to my seating position, bad back and stiff neck causing me to go crashing the Mosquito BNF early on in the meeting - Into a wall behind me and can report than with a slightly dented nose and spinners and cannons now removed ( as some one said if it had a front gunner he was now a rear gunner) I am pleased to report she was back in the air and flying as good as usual, with no repairs needed. Sure is a tough model. Although it does have a few dents now. I'd not crashed my own Mossy until this meeting, after flying indoors at various venues and also outside - Some times in a wind far beyond the designers expectations I'd say - The Mossy is NOT hard to fly, it does require some rudder aileron co ordination for the best flying results. Use of rudder indoors is not optional, its a requirement. I had crashed another Mossy while piloting another on a test flight ( unsure what caused that, the model appeared not to respond in what was a run of the mill first flight up to that point), but this was the first time I'd crashed one of these models due to my own error. My pride was hurt! I sat my seat further back and no such problems were experienced again. The flight that followed the crash and many more were without event. The video here is rather good. Captured by Mrs Servoboy the long suffering wife - there's a nice Corsair moment. It sure looked good in the circuit. The Corsair looked good to. Graham had moved the C of G further up on his Corsair and it did seem to be flying much smoother than my own which seemed to be like a bucking bronco the last time I flew and crashed it! Watch the video. Enjoy Steve aka Servoboy!!
