Motorcycle Tour of The New Forest - Episode 1

(This mini tour of The New Forest starts as most MMD tours with a stopover on the way! Episode 1 takes us to the beautiful Cathedral city of Salisbury via the iconic and enigmatic monument of Stonehenge. A really fascinating historical site and well worth spending a few hours there. When you get up close, you realise what an extraordinary achievement it was to construct it 1,000s of years ago! From Stonehenge it is just a short ride to Salisbury and its own iconic contribution to history - A magnificent Gothic cathedral with the tallest spire in the Uk and the best preserved copy of Magna Carta. The following day, in beautiful sunshine we headed further south the the ancient ruins of Corfe Castle built in the reign of William The Conqueror, it played a key role in The English Civil War. From Corfe we headed down to Studland bay and the shortest ferry ride ever (4 minutes!) took us the the Millionaire's playground of Sandbanks (to see if we could spot Harry Redknapp) and a fascinating visit to the famous Sammy Miller's Motorcycle Museum before heading for our accommodation for the night in Milford on Sea.
