Day 14 of '75 Days of Partition' - To distinguish the displaced people of Partition, contemporary archaeologist Dr. Erin Riggs has visited evacuee properties and studied government housing schemes in Delhi. Although these places have undergone a lot of change over the years, she brings them back through visual representations and oral accounts. Dr. Erin Riggs is an Assistant Professor at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Join us to know more about her research and work on 'Refugee resettlement housing in Delhi'. 75 Days of Partition' is a daily micro podcast series being aired for 75 days between June 3rd, 2022 and August 17th, 2022 (except Sundays) to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Partition in 2022. The series will entail live conversation bursts with historians, film makers, authors, art-makers and other practitioners working on uncovering and understanding the history of Partition. For context, August 17th is the day the boundary commission announced the Radcliffe Line separating India and Pakistan, 75 days after the Partition Plan was announced on June 3rd, 1947.
