Gift of Life relies on volunteers to run donor recruitment drives to add new stem cell and marrow donors to the registry. People fighting to survive blood cancer, sickle cell, inherited immune disorders, and 75 other diseases can often find a cure through a stem cell transplant. These procedures are most successful for patients if the donor is 35 or under, as their stem cells are more robust - but that means Gift of Life must constantly replace donors who have aged up.
