The first GAAD event was hosted by Yahoo and featured a demonstration of a screen reader by Victor Tsaran. GAAD has evolved to include tech companies doing homepage takeovers and high-profile events like a Stevie Wonder concert and a keynote by Sir Tim Berners-Lee. However, there is concern that some companies are only paying lip service to accessibility without making meaningful changes.
