Nightmare Frontier game is a Squad Based Tactics, Tactical Turn Based Strategy Survival Adventure RPG. This game is developed by Ice Code Games, the same developers for Rogue Waters. Nightmare Frontier shares some game mechanics similar to "Rogue Waters", "XCOM", "Jagged Alliance", "Solasta 2", "Chains of Freedom", "Augmented Empire", "Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous", "Wartales", "Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch", "Wasteland 3", "Capes", "Urban Strife", "Forgotten but Unbroken", "Blightstone", "Crown War: The Black Prince", and "Battle Brothers". Gather a team of Survivors (Scavengers) to survive the Nightmare Frontier that has taken over the city by nightmares called Dreadweavers. Go on scavenging resource raids similar to This War Of Mine, Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days, Survive the Fall, Urban Strife, and Survival Siege: Gloria Victis to get resources (for upgrades) and weapons for your base and future runs. Pick who gets to go on the raids while the others sleep at base for resting perk bonus. This is an interesting mechanic for rotating your squad. Get your loot and find a safe passage back or press on to get more loot and resources. I really like how Nightmare Frontier is a different take on the Zombies apocalypse trope with its own unique mechanic with the nightmare pressure bar. Each survivor has a nightmare "Fear"; and when the nightmare level increases some of their fears get manifested (spawning monsters they fear for example). So you'll want to keep your Nightmare Pressure bar low, and also encourage trying to win fast (get in and get out). It reminds me a bit of the Darkest Dungeon sanity pressure bar. This game is fantastic and I highly recommend checking it out or adding it to your Wishlist.
