This video was recorded in view of the UCLG retreat 2022. In the video, Jan van Zanen explains that 2022 is the year of the 7th edition of the UCLG world congress, which will take place in Daejeon, Korea. Van Zanen chairs the Association of Netherlands Municipalities, VNG, which has started preparations for Korea. The VNG is developing a policy paper on development cooperation and will make sure to co-organize a gathering for local government associations. VNG International has also launched the third edition of the UCLG Peace Prize, which will be awarded at the congress.
