Police rescue dog locked in hot Florida car

   • What The Florida?   More of our best Florida Man Arrests Palm Beach County, FL - On 5/5/24 police responded to a call about a golden retriever locked insidea  vehicle with no owner present. The vehicle was parked in a vacant parking lot with no trees or shade. The dog was found inside the vehicle, which was not running but had front windows slightly rolled down. The vehicle was parked in a manner that is was receiving direct sunlight. The interior of the vehicle was piled to the ceiling with items, leaving only the front seats available. There was no water or cooling source available to him. Outside air temperature was in the mid 80s and he was left unattended for approximately 24 hours. Upon removing the dog from the vehicle he was immediately provided water, poured water on his body to cool him down, and places in police air conditioned vehicle. Animal control took custody of the dog to provide care. He was found to have a temperature of 103 degrees over an hour after being rescued. Charges filed against the owner: Animal cruelty and Animal abandonment. Warning: Video may contain explicit language and sensitive material.
