For great tasting coffee with every brew, here are our recommended habits for keeping your Oracle® Jet in excellent shape. Learn about the few habits we suggest you include in your coffee routine, in order to keep your Oracle® Jet running smoothly, so that you can continue to enjoy exceptional coffee every day. Group Head Purge: (00:00) 1. Before you brew your coffee, insert and lock the portafilter into the group head. 2. Press the brew icon. 3. Let the water run for approximately five seconds. 4. Press the brew button again to stop water flow. 5. Wipe, clean and dry the basket before making your next coffee. Clear Water Backflush: (00:44) 1. Before turning off your machine, empty the drip tray. 2. Place the grey silicone cleaning disk into the portafilter. 3. Insert and lock the portafilter into the group head. 4. Press the brew icon. 5. Let the water run for approximately 20 seconds then the machine will discharge water back into the drip tray. 6. Press the brew icon again to stop water flow. 7. Repeat steps 2 – 6 three or four more times. Filter Basket Rinse: (01:25) 1. Ensure the filter basket is cool before handling. 2. Remove and rinse the filter basket and portafilter under hot water. 3. If necessary, dissolve a cleaning tablet in hot water, and soak the filter basket and portafilter in the solution for approximately 20 minutes. Then rinse and dry.
