One after the other, Madhya Pradesh is witnessing a surge in communal hate crimes. The recent video that surfaced on social media is of a Muslim bangle seller being assaulted by a mob for allegedly selling bangles in "Hindu area", as a person in the video can be heard saying. The incident took place in Indore city and the victim is identified as Tasleem. The attackers allege that Tasleem was using a "fake name" to sell bangles in the locality. Police arrested a few persons in connection with the brutal assault. However, more fascinating is the fact that within 24 hours, the victim was accused of molesting a minor girl and was charged under POCSO act. Tasleem was, therefore arrested by Police after this complaint. More charges were added on Taslim as he was also accused of possessing fake documents related to his identity.
