Lecture#4: Irreversible Processes & Exergy Destruction

Here is lecture#4 from the Spring 2014 course I'm teaching at CMU titled Adv. Power Plant Design. The goal of the course is to explain how to design baseload fossil fuel power plants that meet the EPA's proposed regulations on CO2 emissions. The focus of this lecture is an introduction to irreversible process that lead to exergy destruction, such as heat flow, friction, and mass transfer. In the future, I'll be adding a link to the location where you can find the class notes and HW's for the course.
