Shadow On The Wall by R.Cajun & The Zydeco Bros.

Words & music by Clive Harvey - © 1990 C. Harvey. A track on the 1990 album ‘Out Of The Swamp’ on the Bearcat label. This is one of several songs I wrote while a member of RCZB. The band led the boom in Cajun and zydeco music in the UK and Europe in the 80s/90s and were rated as one of the best Cajun bands outside America - if not THE best. Fans included none other than Sir Paul McCartney, who booked the band on two occasions for private events and even sang onstage with them. (Later bandleader Chris Hall toured with Macca.) Lead vocalist with the band throughout this era was the legendary singer and harmonica player known only as 'Beeds'. His son Li'l Jim, a star of the current UK Cajun scene, includes his own version of this song in his repertoire and cites it as one of his favourites.
