Our gas grill has been dying a slow death over the last couple of years. So, we decided to go out and look for a replacement. #traegerselectelite #traegerinitialfiring #seasoningyourtraeger We ended up at Costco, and the Traeger rep was there with a type of Traeger that I'd never seen before. It was the Select Elite Bronze. And it looked just like a gas grill! No barrel body, no smoke stack. We thought this was perfect. After talking with the rep for a bit, and having her toss in a free cover and bag of pellets, we decided to take the plunge into wood fired grilling. My son and I assembled it one Sunday afternoon, and it was moved out onto our deck to replace the old gas grill that we had for over 10 years. The assembly was easy, and so was the initial firing and seasoning the grill. As you can see in the video, it was pretty easy, and the smell of the pellet smoke was intoxicating!
