Support our efforts by sourcing your wood-fired, organic, pure Vermont maple syrup from https://ruggedridgeforest.com/ In this video I tell you about my saga to create my perfect horse sled. After seeing what was available, working with my friend Paul's sleigh, and thinking about my specific needs, I crafted this sled out of steel. The purpose of this sled is general utility and work. Hauling chainsaws and logging equipment into the woods, hauling cordwood, limbwood, and small logs out, dragging manure to spread in the field, as well as throwing my nieces on some hay bales and taking them for a ride : ) I also talk about some things I learned while working with my draft horse, Hilde. I would be glad to answer any specific questions for you in the comments! And of course I am always open to constructive critique : ) Index: 00:00 - Intro 00:31 - Hitching Up and Back Story 01:27 - Prototyping and my experience with Box Shafts 01:58 - Design Process 04:04 - Shifting Philosophy on Driving
