Friday Focus Ep: 61 The Future of Breast Augmentation

As you surely know by now, we have broadcast two live breast augmentation surgeries, using the new "gummy bear" implants, on Facebook on fully awake patients. These videos have gathered thousands of views and many questions have been asked because previously any surgery like this was only performed on patients under sedation. So, how did this come about and how is this possible? There are a couple of things that have come together in order to make this happen. This week I am going to take you through some of the history of the breast implant product and reasons why this procedure was something many women would not consider for various reasons. I will also demonstrate the technique I used to numb our patients so they feel nothing and can stay awake during the procedure. The combination of this new product and the procedures used to place the implants is going to tap into an entire new audience for us. I am excited for the possibilities and that we are, once again, providing the newest and best for our patients. This week we will also check in with the first patient to have had fully awake breast augmentation. We have much to look forward to in 2017, The Big Year.
