Boxing Cardio Workout // 30 Minute Jump Rope & Shadow Boxing Workout At Home

BOXING CARDIO WORKOUT - 30 MINUTE JUMP ROPE & SHADOW BOXING WORKOUT AT HOME // Today, we’re doing a fun boxing cardio workout mixing rounds of skipping and different shadow boxing combinations with bodyweight ab exercises. Dust off your jump rope because we are starting with 3 x 2 minute rounds of skipping, working on different foot movements and keeping it light and springy. We then head into some dynamic core work for the next 7 minutes or so, using various ab exercises. The next 9 minutes of work will see you performing some combination punching with defensive manoeuvres as well. The idea in the ring is to hit and don’t get hit after all. You want to land your boxing combos with accuracy and precision and then get out the way of any incoming punches. Use your own visualisations to help you with this. Shadow boxing is such a fun way to keep fit, with the added bonus of working on your reflexes, agility, timing, speed and co-ordination. We have a 7-minute finisher at the end where we wrap things up by integrating it all together. Grab your jump rope again as you will have to skip at 160 skips per minute (spm) or more for 2-minutes straight. You against me just for a bit of motivation and friendly competition. Then 2 minutes of tough ab work, followed by 2 blisteringly fast 1-minute rounds of shadow boxing. First round is ‘punches in bunches’, fast straight punching, right down the pipe as they say in the boxing gyms! We finish this boxing circuit in the final round with some “shoeshine” combinations - flurries of fast uppercuts thrown in quick succession. And that’s it, fight is over.
