#Tosco Music #ToscoMusicParty Tosco Music is a resident company of Blumenthal Performing Arts and produces five Tosco Music Parties (TMP’s) each year. A TMP is a music variety showcase of an eclectic mix of music styles by approximately 15 acts performing one or two songs each. Every TMP is a completely unique live music experience that provides access to a professional performing arts stage for local and emerging independent artists, and also engages the audience in singalongs throughout the evening led by John Tosco and the TMP House Band & Singalong Choir. Every June, Tosco Music presents a Beatles Tribute in the same format - only all Beatles songs! In December, a special Tosco Music Holiday Party hosts a festive community celebration of the season with the same diversity of performers and audience participation. Tosco Music has evolved over three decades primarily through the grassroots efforts of passionate volunteers into a nonprofit organization whose community outreach and impact has a deeply rooted history in Charlotte. Tosco Music’s community outreach programs: • nurture youth and emerging talent with performance opportunities, • award youth and adult music scholarships, • give free tickets to local nonprofits to increase inclusive access to live music experiences, and • present live music at community events that are free and open to the public. Tosco Music Open Mic - This unique, monthly gathering is unlike any other open mic in Charlotte. For 18 years, Tosco Music has hosted an eclectic, family-friendly evening of singalongs and solo performances from all ages and experience levels at NoDa’s Evening Muse with the most supportive audience of music lovers. Senior Singalongs – several times each month, Tosco Music gathers local musicians and volunteer singers to bring senior singalong parties into the community. Senior singalongs take place in senior communities, faith communities, and recreation centers where senior programs are offered.
