What's the best ND filter? Maybe an ND is not what you need. Depends. People talk a lot about ND filters, but many don't realize the creative power a CPL polarizing filter holds. A polarizer is also an ND filter (about 1.5 to 2 stops) but it does oh so much more. For example, an ND darkens everything, including white puffy clouds, but a CPL filter darkens the blue sky only and leaves the clouds alone! Also, which filter brands are best? Tiffen? B&W?
