SECTION OF MONOPOLE • Top Segment • Middle Segment 1 • Middle Segment 2 • Bottom Segment • Cross arm With the increase in height of Monopole the Number of Segment may increase ASSEMBLY OF MONOPOLE • The Monopole cross arms are assembled to the monopole body with bolts and Nuts and the the Bolts are torqued to its limit and kept ready for Erection ERECTION OF MONOPOLE Certain pre-requisite before starting the Erection • Leveling of Anchor template with tubular spirit level • Marking of Overlapping area so that during erection the overlapping portion are visible from ground The erection of monopole is very simple. The crane is positioned properly to lift the section. Once the Levelling of Anchor template is completed it is removed such that all the nuts below anchor template are at same level. The process for erection of complete monopole is subdivided in the following four steps- • Monopole bottom section is erected directly on the foundation anchor Bolts. • Monopole Middle section-I is inserted to the erected bottom as per the Fabrication drawing. • Monopole Middle section-II with cross arm is inserted to the erected Middle section-I. • At last the Upper section of the Monopole with cross arm is erected above the Middle Section-II. Situation may arise when one section does not completely overlap with other section.
