Found MONEY ($500) in Abandoned 1920's Luxury Hotel! Seth Borden, Exploring With Josh, and Exploring With Danny drove 3 hours from their hometowns and into the mountains in search of an abandoned luxury hotel from the 1920's. Opened in 1924, this hotel was considered luxurious for its time. It had five floors and 150 rooms. Aside from the beautiful accommodations, this hotel claimed that their luxurious sulfur-infused water baths had body and mind healing properties. According to hotel management, the sulfur in their water was able to heal your skin and get rid of rashes, acne, and all sorts of other ailments. Apparently this whole area that the hotel is located in was once rich with this kind of sulfur, so it helped the economy grow substantially for many decades by attracting around 10,000 people every year. However, the hotel unfortunately closed in 2004 as a result of an economic decline, as was the fate of many of the hotels and ski resorts in this area. We also ran into a local who told us this place is believed to be haunted. And as if the rich history isn't enough, I found money in one of the first rooms I searched!
