Join us as we drive 3 miles through historic Shamrock and pass by the old U-DROP-INN Cafe on the old Route 66. If you are driving the historic route, this is the first time Rt 66 branches off of Interstate 40 in Texas. Unfortunately, the route is only the 3 miles in Shamrock and then I-40 takes over again. The reason for this is economics.
