Documenting architectural decorations in Gothenburg, an ongoing project. Narration: Welcome to my city. The very centre of central Gothenburg is Gustaf Adolf square. It is forbidden to photograph public art, like the statue of king Gustaf the second Adolf… … but the law says nothing about lamp-posts… … or chain-posts. Another lamp-post. There are three of these big flag-poles… … with reliefs I never noticed before… They were made for the city’s 300-anniversary expo in 1923, thus the bi-plane… The expo celebrated the city’s history… … and industry. Now we rest, until part 2 which deals with the city block called The Main Guard.
