Welcome back to the Parker Baits channel and join us at Linear Fisheries on B2 for another Parker Baits Social – and what a weekend it’s already shaping up to be. From the very first horn, this event has been non-stop action, with peg draws, laughter, friendly competition, social vibes, and carp hitting the bank left, right, and centre. This isn’t just about catching fish – it’s about bringing anglers from all walks of life together. We’ve got seasoned competition anglers, lads on their second-ever social, first-timers bringing their families, and familiar faces who have been supporting Parker Baits since the early days. Rob, now a big part of Tommy’s Tackle, is back for his second social after a tough draw last time, looking for redemption. Mitch turned up with his boy, making memories on his first ever Parker Baits Social, while plenty of others are simply here to enjoy a weekend with rods out, good company, and hopefully a few special carp. The peg draw brought the usual mix of nerves and banter. From smiles pulling out prime swims to groans at the “iffy” draws, it was brilliant to see the lake fill up with excitement. Some big names landed strong pegs – Jay, better known as the B2 King, managed to draw yet another solid swim. Already a two-time winner on this lake, the pressure was on him from the get-go. And he didn’t disappoint – within hours he was into multiple fish, including a triple take that had us running around with cameras in disbelief. Others had to graft hard in less fancied areas, but that’s what makes these socials so special. It’s not just about the swims – it’s about the anglers. Cory and Courtney proved this in style, making it happen in a peg that many would have written off. Less than an hour in and they were already holding up a lovely scaly one for the cameras – showing that good angling always beats excuses. The early action was relentless. Solid bags, worm rigs, and surface fishing all came into play. Joe managed a quick bite on a little clear spot in the weed. Kev, fresh off a blinding performance in the last social, carried his form straight into B2 with a tidy 24lber on a yellow pineapple pop-up. Mitch nailed his first Parker Baits Social carp using a yellow Magic Bean wafter, and Dan got himself amongst the action on an OG Fish solid bag. It seemed like no matter where you looked around the lake, bobbins were lifting and alarms were screaming. Then came one of the standout moments of the day – Isaac, one of the key members of the Parker Baits team, absolutely smashed his PB and joined the 30lb club with a 34lb 14oz mirror. The excitement, nerves, and pure emotion of that capture were unreal. Watching him shaking with adrenaline while retelling the story of the take was something special. That’s what these socials are about – not just the fish, but the moments. As the sun dropped and the evening set in, the atmosphere around B2 was electric. Drones in the air, fish crashing in the distance, and anglers buzzing from the day’s events. It was only the first evening, and already the leaderboard was stacked with 20s and 30s, with multiple PBs smashed. But with so many rods in the water and some of the UK’s best anglers on the bank, we knew the best was yet to come.
