The microvascular anastomosis is a neurosurgery technique that requires a long learning process to master it. Because of the degree of difficulty, the ability of microvascular anastomosis cannot be obtained by observing experienced surgeons. Micro-scale operations training requires sufficient training resources and time. The purpose of this paper is to approve the face validity of a latex-based microvascular model that can be used as an animal-free alternative to be included in the initial microsurgery training to replace, refine and reduce animal models in microsurgery training. This research was conducted using a literacy studio of several simulators and existing ideas, then beginning with determining the mold design to produce microvascular replicas based on latex. The results of this study indicate that the latex-based microvascular model can be useful for the use of basic animal models in the basic course of anastomosis training.
