Austrian economics supports the separation of economics and state. Mises' magnum opus is his work 'Human Action' where he takes a non mathematical look at economics. He lays out his new study 'praxeology' which is the study of human action. In the work he examines socialism, capitalism, boom and bust cycles, trade unions, and much much more. Mises is perhaps the father of neoliberalism, going on to inspire the works and ideas of economists Friedrich Hayek, Milton Friedman, Murray Rothbard and the philosopher and writer Ayn Rand who he had a volatile friendship with.
