After a short break due to an ankle injury, my next cricket match was as part of the Sunday XI team, in a friendly fixture against Chedworth Cricket Club. Chedworth is a beautiful Cotswold village, surrounded by quintessential rolling Cotswold countryside, and the field itself is an absolutely stunning location to play. With short straight boundaries and long square boundaries, the field was an unusual shape and also featured a Cotswold dry stone wall as one of the boundary lines. This 35 over cricket match ended up being a lot tighter than it perhaps should have been, proving that in cricket, anything can happen - and usually does!
