上午從台北車站搭火車到瑞芳，在瑞芳午餐、喝杯咖啡→ 搭火車到三貂嶺車站，徒步經三貂嶺生態友善隧道(3.19公里)，隧道的出口是牡丹→ 牡丹車站搭火車到猴硐，逛貓村與礦坑休閒園區。這條一日遊路線，全程坐火車慢遊，兼具休閒與運動。 三貂嶺車站位於新北市瑞芳區，為臺灣鐵路公司宜蘭線、平溪線的鐵路車站，1922年開業，是台灣唯一沒有道路可以直接抵達的鐵路車站。舊時宜蘭線鐵路隧道，歷經30年荒廢的重新「打開」後的三貂嶺生態友善隧道總長3.19公里，建造出全台第一條「鋼筋自行車道」，由達觀規劃設計景觀設計師吳忠勳、法國 MICHELE&MIQUEL 建築與景觀設計事務所，以及設計師藍傑鴻等攜手操刀，利用水池設計讓洞口的地面積水與三貂嶺的景色形成鏡面反射倒影。有別於其他自行車道，施作過程極力保存文化史蹟的完整性並恢復生物棲息環境條件，以具有特色的鋼筋作為鋪面，創造自然與環境共生，也供旅客作為自行車道兼步道使用，有機會與火車相遇，沿途穿越熱帶林、流水瀑布、起伏地形，以及廢棄的隧道和橋，創造獨特的工業地景。 位在「猴硐車站」旁的「猴硐貓村」，是新北市有名的觀光景點之一，更曾獲CNN推薦為全球六大賞貓景點。這裡的貓咪在居民照顧下乾淨又不怕人，是相機底下的最佳貓model。猴硐貓村起因於一個愛貓網友的發動，成立了志工隊希望改善村內的環境，讓貓咪有更友善的生活空間，隨著網路資訊的傳播而逐漸聞名，現成為許多愛貓遊客朝聖的地點。 猴硐煤礦博物園區系統目前保存多處展示間及歷史遺跡，其主題以「展現猴硐礦業舊日生活全貌與保存台灣煤礦特有的文化資產」為基本，展示猴硐煤礦的文史記錄、歷史文物、並以整合周邊附屬空間以提升旅遊價值。主園區設施群包括：瑞三運煤橋、礦工紀念館、願景館、瑞三鑛業大樓、猴硐坑、金字碑、猴硐神、猴硐隧道群等。 In the morning, take the train from Taipei Main Station to Ruifang, have lunch and coffee in Ruifang → Take the train to Sandiaoling Station and walk through the Sandiaoling Eco-friendly Tunnel (3.19 kilometers).
